Filter Cleaning

Today I performed a miradic acid filter cleaning. This works great, but beware of the fumes that go along with it. After using the acid spray the filters with water until they run clean. You'll also want to do it on some rocks away from vegitation or cement (as it will discolor it or kill your plants). You will want to wear a mask and hold your breath most of the time. Also, I was able to find pool cleaning gloves made of neoprene at Homedepot. Pool Filters should be cleaning twice a year (maybe more depending on how old your pump and filters are). I prefer to do them right before and right after pool season.
